Job summary

GRAEF in Milwaukee, WI seeks an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our Structural team. You will design and analyze structural systems for parking structures, support BIM modeling in Revit, and collaborate with engineers and architects on diverse projects nationwide.

You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, gain exposure to code compliance, prepare calculations and construction documents, and contribute to a team focused on technical excellence and client service while

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis required.
  • Master’s degree and EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and experience in various structural engineering software programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze structural systems for parking structures.
  • Apply applicable building codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with shop drawing review, submittal review, and RFI responses during construction.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in project meetings.
  • Assist with BIM modeling and drafting in Revit, including drawing production and model coordination with other disciplines.
  • Participate in field investigations, site visits, and existing condition assessments.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on technical excellence, client service, and professional growth.
