Job summary

LB Industrial Systems, LLC is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing engineering team in Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience in foundation design and design of steel support structures for industrial equipment.

A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required, and candidates should be familiar with AISC 360 and ASCE 7-22, along with relevant codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
• Knowledge of geotechnical reports and soil data integration.
• Experience designing foundations for heavy industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and software such as RISA.
• Experience with AutoCAD; 3D modeling in SolidWorks is a plus.
• Familiarity with AISC 360, ASCE 7-22, ACI 318, and IBC.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of steel structures, foundations, and support systems for industrial facilities and heavy equipment.
• Prepare and review design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with project teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure cohesive and integrated designs.
• Conduct site visits for field verification, inspection support, and to provide construction phase engineering services, as needed.
• Review vendor data, submittals, and shop drawings for conformance with project requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices and changes to relevant codes and standards.
