Nucor Buildings Group West LLC in Brigham City, UT is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to design metal building systems while ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency. The role emphasizes collaboration with detailing teams and adherence to industry codes.

You will use proprietary software to analyze frames and panels, review drawings for accuracy, and participate in on-site training as part of a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited school.
• Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, ASCE7, AISI, etc.
• Professional Engineer registration in the United States
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of metal building systems including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing.
• Utilize proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with the detailing department and other teams to communicate design requirements and ensure project execution.
• Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.
