Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group in Terrell, TX is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to design metal building systems, ensure code compliance, and lead design reviews. You will work with detailing teams and use proprietary software to analyze frames, bracing, and panels, contributing to safe, economical structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Strong knowledge of structural building codes (IBC, ASCE7, etc.).
• Professional Engineer registration in the United States or 3–5 years of structural design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of metal building systems: structural steel, walls, roofs, secondary members and bracing.
• Perform frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine and panel analysis using company software.
• Review drawings for accuracy and coordinate with detailing and other teams.
• Support safety policies and continuous learning within the division.
