Nucor Buildings Group West LLC in Lathrop, CA is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to design metal building systems, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, and bracing, ensuring safety and performance.

You will use proprietary software for frame and panel analysis, collaborate with detailing teams, review drawings, and contribute to project profitability. In-office training is required, with a hybrid on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.
• Strong knowledge of structural buildings codes: IBC, ASIC 360, ASIC 341, ASIC358, ASCE7, AISI, etc.
• Professional Engineer registration in the United States
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of metal building systems including structural steel and panels.
• Develop safe and economical structures that meet project requirements and codes.
• Use proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis.
• Collaborate with the detailing department to communicate design requirements.
• Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.
• Embrace opportunities to grow and develop as an engineer with the team
