Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Structural Engineer IV Duluth to join our growing Facilities Engineering group.
Build what’s next with Lake Superior Consulting! As a Structural Engineer IV, you’ll lead complex engineering projects and play a key role in developing innovative solutions for our clients. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, apply advanced technical expertise, and collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to bring challenging designs from concept through completion.
This senior-level role is ideal for an experienced structural engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, leading project teams, and serving as a technical resource and mentor to others. You’ll work on meaningful projects across a variety of industries while helping ensure safe, practical, and high-quality engineering solutions.
Education, Certifications/Licenses, Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civilor Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university
5+ years’ experience as a structural engineer
PE preferred, EITrequired
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
History of successful completion of projects
Ability to work independently and in close collaboration with others
Preferred experience with engineeringand/design software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks,Civil 3D,RISA, Excel Spreadsheets,BluebeamREVUetc.
Understand 2-D and 3-D drafting techniques
Firm knowledge of design codes including: ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc.
The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Routinely use standard office equipment such as but not limitedto:computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, oroperateobjects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee isfrequentlyrequired to stand, talk, and hear.
Standing for extended periods.
Occasionallifting inup to 50lbs.
Exposure to weather including heat and cold climates.
Ability to work long hours and overtime when projectsdemand.

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $132,800.
