Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking aStructural Engineering Intern for the Irvine/Los Angeles area. You will gain hands-on experience in structural design, working with our engineers on real-world projects and you will assist in preparing calculations and construction documents.

This non-exempt internship runs 40 hours/week with hybrid options; training emphasizes learning from senior engineers and collaborating across teams. A junior-year student pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Junior or above working toward a BS in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structures).
• Transcripts must show completed courses in Structural Analysis.
• Transcripts must show completed courses in Mechanics of Materials.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in structural design, working closely with our engineers on real-world projects.
• Assist in the preparation of calculations and construction documents on active jobs under the guidance of project leaders.
• Participate in project meetings and site visits.
