KPFF is seeking summer interns interested in experiencing the daily life of a Structural Engineer. Weprovide you with a summer packed with training programs to prepare you to be successful, activities tohelp you connect with our team, and real-world projects to apply your skills. At KPFF, 2 out of 3 of ourinterns return as full-time employees or return for another internship in the next year.
Students curious about Structural Engineering and wanting to understand the daily life of a StructuralEngineer. We enjoy working with interns who are eager to contribute to their teams and who areinterested in making connections and getting to know the people they work with. For this role you willneed to have completed a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structures orArchitectural Engineering, prior to the start of the internship.
You are interested in Structural Engineering and would like the opportunity to be exposed to a widerange of projects and conditions. You enjoy working with and learning from others to create work thatyou are proud of. You take the initiative to solve challenging problems and are a proactive team member.
As a Structural Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in structural design, workingclosely with our experienced engineers on real-world projects. You will have the opportunity to applyyour academic knowledge, develop your skills, meet other students who are in the same eld, andcontribute to meaningful work. You will assist in the preparation of calculations and constructiondocuments on active jobs under the guidance of project leaders. You will have the opportunity toparticipate in project meetings and site visits.
This is a non-exempt, temporary position. All overtime hours are paid at a time-and-a-half hourly rate.
The pay rate for this position is $31.50 an hour for interns awarded a bachelor's degree prior to the start of the internship.
Monthly Way We Work stipend toassistwith remote work and transit expenses.
You must possess a completed bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structures orArchitectural Engineering) prior to the start of the internship.

40-hour work schedule, Monday through Friday
Interns work Monday-Thursday in our Orange County Irvine office. Interns have the option to workremotely on Fridays from home.
