Role Description

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Austin team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. In this role, you will work directly alongside seasoned professional engineers, supporting the structural design process from initial concept through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Assist in structural design, perform load calculations, and conduct structural analyses for various building systems.
• Documentation: Utilize Revit to generate precise structural construction drawings, details, and models.
• Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams, architects, contractors, and consultants to balance architectural intent with constructability.
• Project Support: Support the design process through all phases, ensuring project goals, budgets, and engineering codes are met.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a strong focus/foundation in Structural Engineering.
• Certification: EIT certification preferred (or the clear ability to obtain it within six months of hire).
• Software Skills: Proficiency in Revit is required, along with exposure to industry-standard structural analysis software.
• Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills, rigorous attention to detail, and strong communication/collaboration habits.
• Knowledge Base: Exposure to building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) is a strong plus.
