Job summary

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer III to join the Mechanical Airport Baggage Handling team in Novi, MI. You will design platforms, header steel, hanger supports, and conveyor components, focusing on weight reduction to lower building loads and costs.

The role involves design calculations, PE stamping preparation, and field support while developing more complex layouts and systems under senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with structural design software such as STAAD, CAD/AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor.
• Licensed/registered Civil/Structural Professional Engineer in multiple states.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or reports.
• Use CAD and collaborate with engineers to develop system designs and supports.
• Perform structural design calculations per codes and prepare PE stamping packages.
• PE stamp design drawings and calculations for applicable states.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain structural/mechanical products.
• Coordinate with engineers to implement procedures and resolve malfunctions.
