Job summary

Lighthouse Electric Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Structural Engineer III to lead design and analysis for seismic bracing and anchorage of electrical/MEP systems.

You will collaborate with prefabrication teams, project management, and field leaders to deliver safe, fabrication‑ready solutions. Must have ABET‑accredited engineering degree and PE certification, with 5–10 years in construction; data center experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Professional Engineer certification required.
  • Experience with data center projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design and analysis for seismic bracing and anchorage of electrical/MEP systems.
  • Support prefabrication/modular assemblies and construction means‑and‑methods.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field leadership to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

Job description

Position Summary

The Structural Engineer III will work as part of the Engineering team to perform engineering design, calculations, and support for the company. This individual will take a lead design role on the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide structural design, analysis, detailing, and engineering support for seismic bracing and anchorage of electrical/MEP systems.
  • Provide construction means-and-methods supports (as required) and prefabricated/modular assemblies (skids, racks, equipment frames, E-House/modular electrical room components).
  • Partner closely with the engineering, prefabrication/modular construction teams, project management, and field leadership to deliver safe, code‑compliant, fabrication‑ready solutions that accelerate installation and reduce risk.
  • Work independently as the first structural engineer at Lighthouse, taking lead design responsibilities and growing within the company.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
  • Professional Engineering certification required.
  • Preferred data center experience.

  • Excellent computer proficiency.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

Additional Requirements

  • Position may require travel to out‑of‑state jobsites and occasional overnight trips.
