Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a structural engineer to perform analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry projects. You will assist in developing models, drawings, and specifications, and ensure designs comply with applicable regulations.

The role involves coordinating with other disciplines, contributing to technical papers, and may involve travel. A bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and about 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
1 year of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform structural analyses and designs for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry.
Assists in developing models, drawings, and specifications.
Reviews designs for compliance with regulations.
Coordinated designs with other engineering disciplines.
Applies firm design policies.
Assists in structural condition assessments and site work.
Contributes to TKM with white papers and technical documentation.
Submits papers and designs for publication.
Performs other duties as required.
May create posters or presentations for conferences.
