Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic structural engineer to support power generation and heavy industrial projects in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform structural calculations, develop specifications, and create design drawings for foundations and structures. Projects will include new build simple and combined cycle power plants and plant retrofits across the United States, requiring comprehensive structural engineering and design skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design.
• Experience with structural design, including calculations, specifications, and drawings for foundations and steel structures.
• Ability to review relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support structural design and project development.
• Understanding of the complete design process, including preparing engineering designs and drawings based on project scope and specifications, while adhering to budgets and schedules.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro and Mathcad.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Requirements

• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate.
• Experience with ANSYS analysis software and AutoCAD design software.
