What You’ll Do

• Provide structural engineering analysis and design of building structures, including sport facilities, airport facilities, transit facilities, and more in support of HNTB’s national architectural practice.
• Provide structural engineering analysis and design of framing and foundation systems for steel, concrete, post‑tensioned concrete, masonry, and wood building frame systems.
• Perform structural engineering services during the construction phase such as responding to construction questions, reviewing contractor submittals, and conducting construction site observations.
• Prepare design drawings and/or specifications.
• Be technically involved in the design of building structures, performing detailed checks of engineering work done by others and coordinating specific design aspects into a project.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Core structural engineering skills in steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Basic understanding of Building Codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Experience with structural software (Revit/BIM 360 and either ETABS, SAP2000, or RISA 3D).
• Ability to work in a mentored team environment with good oral and written communication skills.
• Responsibility for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.

What We Prefer

• EIT certification.
• Master's degree in architectural engineering or civil engineering with a primary focus on structures.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as SAP 2000, ETABS, RISA 3D, Enercalc, and TEDDS.
• Membership in a professional practice organization.

Pay Range: Greater Seattle, WA metro area $85,580.52 – $128,370.78; nationwide $74,417.85 – $139,533.46.
