What You’ll Do
- Perform independent technical reviews, make recommendations, and provide technical guidance on complex or unusual engineering projects.
- Provide direction to resolve technical issues as requested.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to project leadership, and mentor/support production staff.
- Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation on complex or unusual engineering projects within the discipline.
- Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners at the local leadership level for work within the discipline on complex or unusual engineering projects.
- Develop and advise on technical consistency within the discipline across processes and projects, ensuring the same standards and practices are applied.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering and 9 years of relevant experience.
- PhD in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Use persuasion to communicate solutions while understanding the project goals and stakeholders’ interests.
- Demonstrate a vision for complex and unique challenges.
- Understand engineering principles behind design code requirements.
- Promote knowledge within the industry through authoring technical papers, presentations, and serving on technical committees.
- Understand, support, and influence multiple concurrent projects.
- Discover opportunities for technical improvements across the firm and collaborate with peers to share ideas.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the field.
What We Prefer
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- 15 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) license.
- Experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP 2000, ADAPT, RISA, etc.
- Familiarity with Revit, Autodesk, and Bluebeam.

- Pay range (Los Angeles Metro Area and Orange County, CA): $145,993.46 – $228,348.77.
- Pay range (nationwide): $126,950.84 – $248,205.18.
