Job summary

Cromwell Architects Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer I to design new framing and foundations for architectural, industrial, and governmental facilities and to evaluate changes to existing buildings for safety and code compliance. The role requires collaboration with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities include structural analysis, coordinating with REVIT technicians, editing specifications, performing construction-phase services, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering required.
• PE licensure in a U.S. state preferred.
• 5+ years of industry experience in structural design from concept to construction documents.
• Experience with RISA and Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of structural systems to meet load and serviceability requirements.
• Evaluate structural deficiencies and provide rational solutions.
• Collaborate with REVIT technicians to develop structural plans and details.
• Edit structural specifications.
• Perform construction-phase services including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site visits, and observation reports.
• Travel up to 10%.
