Job summary

TYLin Buildings in Chicago is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to the structural design and analysis of diverse buildings projects, working with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood from concept through construction.

You will assist in drawings and specifications, conduct site investigations, and perform field reviews on projects. A Civil/Architectural Engineering degree with a focus on structures is required, and E.I.T is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (with a focus on structures preferred).
• Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• Passing of E.I.T. exam preferred.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in the execution of commercial, institutional, or residential projects preferred.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure preferred.
• Familiarity with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM) preferred.

• Work with the project team to do the structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Perform field review for projects under construction.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information
