Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Division in the United States is seeking qualified Structural Engineers/Certified Divers to advance their careers on challenging port developments, marine engineering, ferry terminals, shipyards, and naval facilities.

You will collaborate with clients and project teams, develop designs with project management skills, and deliver high‑quality service across diverse non‑building infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience with underwater and topside inspection of marine infrastructure.
• Technical Report writing experience preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable operating small watercraft.
• EIT is required, PE or SE preferred.
• Ability to operate on SCUBA and Surface Supplied Air.
• Current/Ability to pass ADCI Compliant Dive Physical.
• Concrete, steel, and timber design experience.
• Pre-stressed concrete and seismic design experience preferred.
• Familiarity with performance-based seismic design, non-linear push-over analysis, and soil‑structure interaction analysis preferred.
• Knowledge of ASCE 61‑14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE‑7, AISC, ACI, and NDS.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, L-Pile, MS Excel, and VBA is preferred.
• Travel required.
