Job summary

Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural engineering and surveying firm, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team. You will provide customer-oriented design and construction services to clients nationwide, with growth potential and a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements include a bachelor’s (or master’s) in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering, 3–7 years of structural experience, PE/SE licensure preferred, and Revit proficiency; the position

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
• 3 - 7 years of structural engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
• Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry and/or wood
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Leadership qualities with ability to teach/train others
• Revit proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems
• Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services
• Perform site visits, client meetings and coordination with the project team
• Participate in business development and client-facing activities
