Kleinfelder’s Hunt Valley office seeks a Structural Engineer to contribute to design and analysis of transportation structures, including bridges and culverts. You will develop plans, perform calculations, and work with project managers on field inspections to support client needs.

The role emphasizes field readiness, collaboration across disciplines, and growth toward project responsibilities with an emphasis on safety and quality. Office-based with field opportunities in Maryland.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited engineering program.
• 0–5 years of design experience in structural engineering.
• The ability and motivation to obtain EIT certification in the first year of employment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and project managers.
• Willing to work in the field performing hands‑on inspections of transportation structures.

Responsabilidades

• Develop design plans for new transportation structures and for the maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and replacement of bridges/culverts and miscellaneous structures that are a part of transportation systems.
• Utilize CADD and engineering software to create detailed design plans and technical drawings.
• Prepare structural design calculations in compliance with relevant design standards and client preferences.
• Perform structural analysis on both new and existing transportation structures using specialized design software.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and specifications for various transportation projects.
• Participate in field inspections of structures over and adjacent to roadways and water.
