We deliver customized structural solutions across various practice areas including healthcare, education, science and technology, forensics, construction engineering, and federal buildings. We address project needs such as compliance with stringent codes, budget considerations, tight construction schedules, or creating landmark structures.

If you are interested in joining our team and do not see your desired position listed on our 'Job Openings' page, please send an email with a targeted cover letter expressing your interest to: humanresources@degenkolb.com

We have an immediate opportunity for a licensed Design Professional experienced in modifying and renovating single-family, multi-family, and light commercial structures within California jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will work with Contractors and Owners to understand existing conditions and develop jurisdictionally compliant Construction Documents efficiently. Experience with fast-paced development of complete CD packages across disciplines, including structural, architectural, and basic MEP, using established standards and templates, is essential. Projects vary from minor to moderate, with occasional rebuilds. The focus will be on insurance-funded repair and reconstruction within our Forensics Practice Area, though prior forensic or insurance experience is not required if the candidate can adapt quickly.

The candidate will join our established Forensics team in Northern California and represent our growing Southern California team. Travel within the region, flexible scheduling, and direct client interaction are expected. Building strong client relationships through performance, responsiveness, and professionalism is key.

Our firm emphasizes collaboration and industry involvement, fostering a supportive environment with professional development opportunities, clear career paths, mentorship, diverse work assignments, comprehensive benefits, and competitive pay at the 75th percentile.

The pay range is typically between $10,500 - $16,500 per month, based on various factors including location, education, and experience. Benefits include health and life insurance, commuter benefits, paid parental leave, 401(k) with profit sharing, employee ownership, professional support, holidays, and generous PTO. We also support a flexible hybrid work schedule.
