Job summary

Struction Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer Associate to design, review, and support the construction of building structures. You will prepare structural plans and reports, review work for accuracy and compliance, and provide technical recommendations throughout construction.

Responsibilities include developing plans for concrete, steel, timber and other materials, reviewing calculations, and advising on structural issues during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with structural specialization.
• At least three years of full-time structural engineering experience.
• PE certification preferred in California.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze structural design plans, specifications, estimates, and reports per applicable requirements.
• Develop plans and specifications for concrete, structural steel, timber, masonry, metal, and other materials.
• Assist with design and layout of foundations and framing systems.
• Review structural calculations for accuracy, constructability, and conformance with standards.
• Prepare QA plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Review services provided by consultants and architects, recommending revisions when needed.
• Conduct site investigations and prepare scoping reports and recommendations.
• Advise contractors and inspectors on structural issues during construction.
• Monitor project status and assist other engineering staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with specialization in structural engineering

PE certification (preferred in CA)
