Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to design structural systems from schematic through construction administration for diverse projects. You will collaborate with architects and engineers to deliver integrated design solutions and lead SEOR responsibilities.

The firm emphasizes employee ownership and interdisciplinary teamwork, with a four-day in-office model and flexible Fridays. Florida licensure and 7+ years of experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) in Florida.
• 7+ years of structural engineering experience on new and existing buildings.
• Proficiency with structural software ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA and Enercalc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs from concept through construction for various buildings.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and structural layouts.
• Prepare detailed reports and narratives.
• Act as Structural Engineer-of-Record (SEOR).
• Coordinate structural design with architecture, MEP and other disciplines.
• Produce construction documents using Revit.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct site visits when needed.
• Collaborate with architects and clients in the integrated design process.
