Job summary

PROLIM Corporation in Chandler, AZ seeks an Engineer Structural 3 to perform structural analysis on launch vehicle and ground support components. You will analyze damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling, applying dynamics, loads, stability, stress fatigue, and thermal analysis.

Proficiency with NX CAD and FEA tools is required. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, active security clearance, and experience with high temperature materials and FEMAP/NX

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 1 year of experience
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance, or higher
• Strong structural analysis background with demonstrated work experience and knowledge
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Computer skills with standard word processing/spreadsheet experience
• Ability to listen effectively, take direction, and possess initiative to accomplish assigned tasks and complete work in a timely fashion

Job description

Basic Qualifications for Engineer Structural 3

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 1 year of experience
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance, or higher
• Strong structural analysis background with demonstrated work experience and knowledge
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Structural 3

• MS, or PhD in related field
• Active US Government Secret security clearance, or higher at the time of application
• Experience working with high performance flight structures
• FEMAP, NX NASTRAN finite element analysis software
• ANSYS, ABAQUS, and other software package experience also considered
• Research and experience working with high temperatures, and effects in structural mechanics
• Thermal loading, advanced high temperature materials, structural responses, and development testingWorking knowledge of CMC material systems
• Scripting and AI use in fields of engineering and data sciences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
