Structural Engineer SE

The position is responsible for engineering and design activities related to the assigned functional area, such as analysis, design, and project management, under the guidance of higher-level engineers, leads, supervisors, or managers. The engineer collaborates with higher-level engineers to complete projects supporting our customer and may work with internal engineers, designers, project staff, as well as client engineers and designers.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

1. Coordinate work activities within the team to complete structural projects.
2. Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees.
3. Use computer software to design substation structures and foundations.
4. Review Design Basis, Design Notes, Hazard Log, SOW, Technical Specs, and Field Review Plan.
5. Collaborate with electrical designers to develop structural scopes and estimates based on diagrams and electrical arrangements.
6. Review structural design drawings, fabricator detail drawings, and project documents for compliance with standards and codes.
7. Recommend improvements to structural designs, drawings, or documents.
8. Create material requisitions and coordinate with fabricators for lead times and costs.
9. Coordinate with team members to complete project submittals.
10. Act as a project lead for structural projects.
11. Initiate corrective actions if project objectives are not met.
12. Interpret applicable codes and regulations.
13. SE License is required.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, hospital coverage, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, and paid time off.
