Middleton Structural & Design is looking for a fully remote structural engineer (although we do prefer a Florida resident) who would typically work on designing, analyzing, drafting, and business generation of residential and commercial structures. Here's a general outline of the role:

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Analysis: Use AutoCAD and structural analysis (Risa and Enercalc) tools to create and evaluate designs, along with hand calculations.
2. The applicant must be proficient in vertical, lateral (to include flood analysis), and foundation analysis.
3. The engineer must be proficient in steel, concrete, wood, and masonry designs and codes.
4. Compliance: Ensure designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations for national and local ordinances.
5. Collaboration: Work with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural designs.
6. Problem-Solving: Address issues related to structural integrity or unexpected challenges during construction.
7. Business Generation: The ability to generate business, network, and market Middleton Structural & Design throughout the southeast region.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
2. Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
3. Proficiency in CAD and structural analysis software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
5. Excellent communication and project management skills.
6. Experience in Business Generation.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with remote collaboration tools, such as Google Meet, Zoom, etc.
