Structural Engineer (PE – Texas)
A national engineering and construction consulting firm is seeking a mid-to-senior level Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join its forensic engineering team.
Role Highlights:
- Conduct field investigations and analyze structural failures caused by natural or human-induced events
- Assess residential, commercial, industrial, and marine structures
- Evaluate drawings, codes, and construction practices to determine causes and develop repair scopes
- Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders
- Provide litigation support and expert testimony as needed
- Manage multiple projects with attention to budget and deadlines
- Travel occasionally on short notice
Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited program
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, and NDS codes
- Experience in forensic investigations and construction litigation preferred
