Job summary

Sekisui House U.S., Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Denver team, contributing to a wide range of residential projects nationwide. You will oversee consultant design professionals, review construction documents, and help advance digital building technologies.

The role requires a BS in Architectural or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited), Revit proficiency, and a strong understanding of building codes, sustainability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
  • Registration as Professional Engineer preferred.
  • Experience in residential design.
  • Proficient in Revit.
  • Familiar with building codes and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage consultant engineering design professionals and provide engineering oversight.
  • Lead the review of engineering and construction documents.
  • Research cutting edge digital building technology and develop best practices.
  • Produce 3D building models using Revit and review others' models.
  • Establish modeling standards and best practices in Revit.
  • Perform site visits as needed.
  • Coordinate with other professional disciplines.
  • Manage fees, scope and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and completeness of engineering documentation.
  • Undertake constructability analyses and reviews.
  • Support sustainability objectives and technologies.
  • Prepare material takeoffs and estimates.

Position Summary

As a new member of our engineering team, you will be part of our central office working on a wide range of projects nationwide. We are seeking an entery level Structural Project Engineer to help our Company grow.

Responsibilities
  • Manage consultant engineering design professionals and provide engineering oversight.
  • Lead the review of engineering and construction documents.
  • Research cutting edge digital building technology and help to develop best practices for new technology.
  • Utilize software such as Revit to produce three-dimensional building models; supervise and review work of models provided by others.
  • Help to establish modeling standards and best practices in software such as Revit.
  • Perform site visits on an as needed basis.
  • Analyze design requirements, specifications, and performance requirements.
  • Interface/coordinate with other professional disciplines.
  • Manage fees, scope and schedule requirements.
  • Responsible for the technical accuracy and completeness of engineering documentation.
  • Undertake constructability analyses and reviews.
  • Support sustainability objectives, methods and technologies.
  • Prepare material takeoffs and estimates for use in design processes
Requirements
  • BS degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • Professional Engineering registration preferred.
  • Experience in residential design and construction.
  • Proficient in modeling software such as Revit.
  • Proficiency with codes and standards relevant to engineering design and building construction as well as material specific design codes.
  • Sustainability methods and technologies experience.
  • High degree of competence and understanding of building materials, techniques and processes.
  • Previous quantity surveying and estimating experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive in addressing problem issues, presenting and implementing solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $75,000-$95,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
