Job summary

McNish LLC in Aurora, IL seeks a qualified Structural Engineer to design, evaluate, and optimize structural components for water and wastewater treatment equipment. You will apply standard engineering principles to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and reliable structures meeting contract requirements.

The role involves design revisions, structural analysis, drawings, and collaboration with mechanical, process, and project engineers to ensure constructible designs. P.E./S.E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• 2+ years of relevant structural engineering experience (water/wastewater or industrial equipment experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of applicable structural design codes and standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
• P.E./S.E. License required.

Responsibilities

• Make design revisions, recommendations, and evaluations of water and wastewater treatment equipment within our product line to improve designs and/or reduce costs while satisfying contract requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design for equipment, frames, supports, foundations, and related systems.
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and design codes while carrying out technically related tasks.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and project engineers to ensure integrated and constructible designs.
• Support project execution by responding to technical inquiries, reviewing submittals, and providing engineering clarification as needed.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, safety regulations, and company design practices.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on design efficiency, manufacturability, and cost reduction.

Job Summar

Qualificat"ions:

Typical manufacturing plant environment with occasional exposure to machinery, noise, and manufacturing processes.

The position is an exempt position and offers a salary range of $100,000 to $145,000.00 Annually.
