Job summary

Conrad Consulting is partnering with a respected structural engineering firm in the Washington, DC market to hire a Structural Engineer (EIT) with 0–5 years of experience. This early-career role offers mentorship, design experience, and progression toward PE licensure, with hybrid work flexibility in the DC area.

You will perform structural analysis, prepare calculations and drawings, support steel, concrete, wood and masonry design, develop models in Revit, and coordinate with senior engineers

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of structural engineering experience.
• EIT certification required or ability to obtain shortly after joining.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE progression encouraged as your career develops.
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred.
• Familiarity with RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP, Enercalc, or similar software is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing structural analysis and design across a variety of building projects
• Preparing calculations, drawings, and construction documents
• Supporting design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures
• Developing drawings and models using Revit
• Reviewing contractor submittals and supporting construction administration
• Coordinating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams
• Taking on increasing technical and project responsibility as you develop

This is an opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop strong technical building design experience, work alongside experienced engineers, and progress toward greater project responsibility and PE licensure.
