Job summary

Anvil Engineering in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 (May–August 2027).

You’ll work with seasoned engineers on real projects, assisting with design, drafting, field investigations, and construction coordination in a design-build environment. You'll gain hands-on experience with steel, concrete, and foundations on industrial facilities nationwide; travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Rising student pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with structural emphasis preferred.
• GPA 3.0 preferred and interest in structural engineering and industrial construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist structural engineers with calculations, analysis, and design development.
• Support the preparation of construction drawings, models, and design documents.
• Utilize RISA-3D and Revit to assist with structural analysis and design.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents using Bluebeam.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, and project meetings.
• Help evaluate existing structures and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Perform engineering research and technical analysis.
• Support quality control and project documentation efforts.
