Job summary

RESPEC seeks a Structural EIT to join our Anchorage, AK or Fairbanks, AK office. This onsite role focuses on structural analysis and design for facilities, in collaboration with architects and engineers. You’ll interpret codes, prepare plans, and contribute to project observations.

The position offers professional growth in a collaborative environment, with opportunities to work on diverse infrastructure and energy projects. Candidates should have FE, CAD/BIM skills, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in civil engineering with structural coursework emphasis.
• 2+ years of structural engineering experience (preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (FE Exam passed).
• Solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Mathcad programming ability.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• RISA, STAAD, SAP, Enercalc or similar structural analysis software experience.
• Experience with review of structural construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret building codes and regulations.
• Experience with preparing plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in calculations.
• Support engineers in code review and research.
• Create and review sketches of design intent.
• Assist engineers in design and Construction Administration (CA).
• Participate in meetings and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
