Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to contribute to design options, estimates, and specifications for structural projects within our Building Engineering Services Group. You will work with engineers to develop options and assist on cost estimates.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and an EIT certificate, with proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, ETABS, SAFE, and related tools. HDR offers an employee-owned culture and collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Experience with structural design software (AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, ETABS, SAFE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
