Martin/Martin, Inc. in Vail, Colorado is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Structural Engineering Group.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of materials and both new building design and existing building investigations/retrofits. You will be involved in calculations, drawing development, construction administration, and site visits, collaborating with owners, architects, and contractors as you grow your career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Has passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination
• 0-4 years of experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and use of computer design and CAD/BIM software
• Prepares details and calculations for project components and systems
• Lears about products and construction procedures
• Prepares and writes reports
• Provides field observation during construction
• Studies and applies building code and jurisdictional requirements
• Reviews shop drawings and product submittals
• Checks own work
• Coordinates work with other disciplines
• Proposes solutions to problems
• Works overtime when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
