Jones Networking is recruiting an experienced Structural Drafter to join a design and engineering firm in Greensboro, NC. This role supports the structural engineering group by producing accurate, high-quality construction documents for low‑rise and mid‑rise commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and experienced working in a fast‑paced, team‑driven design environment.

Structural Drafter Responsibilities

• Prepare complete structural construction documents, including foundation plans, framing plans, sections, and detailed drawings based on engineered sketches and company standards
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers to translate design intent into clear, buildable drawings
• Coordinate structural drawings with architectural, civil, and other discipline‑specific project team members
• Maintain company drafting and documentation standards across all projects
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Incorporate redlines, revisions, and updates efficiently throughout the design and construction process
• Occasionally assist engineers with field measurements, site visits, and inspections as needed

Structural Drafter Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent in drafting and design, architecture, or engineering from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience drafting low‑rise and mid‑rise buildings
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Revit (Revit certifications preferred but not required)
• Experience working both independently and collaboratively in an office‑based team environment
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
