BlueScope Buildings North America is seeking an Engineering Technician to translate engineering designs into precise construction documents for structural projects. The role focuses on detailing drawings, fabrication plans, and adherence to industry standards.

You will prepare erection and permit drawings, support manufacturing, and collaborate with project teams to drive cost-effective, high-quality project execution while advancing technical proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate or 2-year technical degree or 2 additional years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and fabrication plans based on engineering designs and project specifications.
• Create erection drawings, approval drawings, permit drawings, and anchor rod layouts.
• Continuously develop technical expertise and knowledge of products, materials, and industry standards.
• Upload, edit, and release parts into the manufacturing system for production.
• Work closely with project teams to identify challenges, propose solutions, and ensure cost-effective, efficient project execution.
• Maintain project schedules to meet customer needs and ensure high-quality service.
• Contribute to department objectives, profitability goals, and continuous improvement as part of a high-performance team.
