BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the engineering team in developing precise drawings and models for structural projects.

The role focuses on translating designs into accurate construction documents with clarity and compliance, contributing to efficient project execution. You will prepare detailed drawings, erection and permit plans, and collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Associate or 2-year technical degree or 2 additional years of relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical drafting and fabrication planning abilities.
• Ability to create erection, approval, permit drawings and anchor rod layouts.
• Excellent collaboration with project teams and strict schedule adherence.
• Knowledge of industry standards and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and fabrication plans based on engineering designs and project specifications.
• Create erection drawings, approval drawings, permit drawings, and anchor rod layouts.
• Upload, edit, and release parts into the manufacturing system for production.
• Work closely with project teams to identify challenges and ensure cost-effective, efficient project execution.
• Maintain project schedules to meet customer needs and ensure high-quality service.
