Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers seeks a Structural Designer to support ongoing projects from Boston, MA, with hybrid work options. The role focuses on creating 3D models and coordinating Revit models across disciplines, translating engineer markups into detailed drawings.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in civil engineering or drafting and at least 3 years of progressive structural design experience, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in civil engineering, drafting or related experience.
• Must have the ability to create and modify technical drawings and specifications.
• 3+ years of professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility in the structural analysis and design of structures.
• Knowledge of structural design techniques, tools, and principles related to the production of technical plans, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D technical models using AutoCad and Revit for construction documents.
• Coordination of multi-discipline Revit models.
• Will create and modify technical drawings and schematics from engineer markups using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Creative interaction with various engineers and designers.
• Update drawings and models as project requirements change or based on feedback.
