Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks a Structural Designer to join its growing engineering team. The role focuses on structural design for energy generation, transmission, and substation projects across North America, collaborating with civil, structural, geotechnical, and construction professionals.

The position involves developing 2D/3D models, creating construction drawings, and providing engineering support through project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of drafting experience in civil/structural, substation, or transmission design
• 2+ years of detailed CAD/design experience in electric/power utility
• Strong background in structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing; BOM creation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 2D & 3D structural framing and reinforced concrete models using CAD
• Produce detailed design drawings, sections, elevations, and 3D models
• Support design production and development of construction drawings and specifications
• Review structural steel fabrication and reinforced concrete drawings for design intent and specs
• Assist engineers in project delivery and liaise with multi-disciplinary teams
