Job summary

H&H in Tampa, FL is seeking a Structural Designer/EI to join our local office and support bridge projects. You will perform design calculations, read contract plans, and assist with field inspections.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering with 0–3 years of experience, CAD experience (AutoCAD; MicroStation preferred), strong communication, and a motivated, team-oriented work ethic.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Zero to three years of relevant experience; EI preferred or ability to obtain FE certification.
• Experience with analytical software such as SAP, CSI Bridge, Midas, etc.
• AutoCAD experience required; MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge-related structural design calculations (beam design, reinforced concrete and steel structures design and analysis).
• Read and develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimates.
• Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of transportation structures and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform bridge-related structural design calculations (beam design, reinforced concrete and steel structures design and analysis), sketches, computer modeling, and similar technical work as required
• Ability to read and develop contract plans, special provisions, and engineer's estimates
• Assist with field inspections and condition assessments of transportation structures and facilities

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering with zero to three years of relevant experience
• EI (preferred) or the ability to obtain FE certification
• Experience with analytical software such as SAP, CSI Bridge, Midas, etc
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) required; MicroStation (preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly Motivated and responsible individual with a strong work ethic
