Position Overview:

The Company is seeking a full-time Structural Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be fluent in AutoCAD and capable of producing structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight deadlines. Experience with designing buildings using steel, wood, and concrete is required. Additional experience with mechanicals and HVAC systems is a plus. The candidate should be reliable, hardworking, self-motivated, and enjoy challenging projects. This position offers an opportunity to grow within our energetic Houston office environment.

Requirements:

• Excellent AutoCAD skills
• 5+ years of structural design experience in the building industry
• Experience with wood-framed construction
• Knowledge of building codes is a plus
• Understanding of building envelope requirements
• Strong writing and grammar skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with Architects, Builders, and Owners
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as needed

Work Schedule:

Typically Monday – Friday day shift, with possible additional hours including weekends based on business needs.
