Job summary

Steele Solutions Inc. in Milwaukee is seeking a Structural Designer to join our team. You will create 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Tekla, and support the design staff and project management throughout the lifecycle of complex steel platforms and mezzanines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Building Construction related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in a drafting or engineering position required.

Responsibilities

• Creates technical drawings in 2D and 3D following specifications and calculations.
• Revises drawings and incorporates information into drawings per engineering specifications.
• Prepares and reviews project drawings along the engineering team.
• Reads and interprets building drawings.
• Works collaboratively with Project Engineers and other departments.
• Identifies and communicates potential design problems to the design staff and Project Managers.
