Ogmint Technical Services is a niche staffing firm focused on the energy sector. Our client, a Houston-based Engineering firm, is seeking a Structural Engineer. The client is an Engineering and Inspection organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Develop and create detailed structural designs and drawings for various engineering projects, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
2. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design models, layouts, and CAD drawings.
3. Review and revise existing designs based on changes to requirements or site conditions.
4. Design scopes will vary, including but not limited to: Detailed fabrication and assembly, installation and demolition sequences, below the hook lifting devices, building and runway structural design.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural drafting and design.
2. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
3. Strong knowledge of structural systems, steel detailing, and reinforced concrete.
4. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
5. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Design, or a related field is preferred, unless the candidate has 15+ years of experience.
6. Eligible to work in the U.S. and available to work standard 8 am to 5 pm CST work week hours.
