Job description

Seeking a Career Level Structural Design Technician to support advanced technology manufacturing environments, including semiconductor fabrication facilities. This role involves developing structural models, producing construction ready documentation, and leading cross-discipline coordination to deliver design packages.

This position is hybrid, based out of Phoenix, AZ, with a minimum of 2 days per week in office. Pay:$40.00 - $43.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D structural models based on verbal instructions or rough sketches
• Produce complete sets of structural plans and details
• Apply department and client standards consistently across models and documents
• Take full ownership of assigned scope, meeting schedule and quality requirements
• Verify completeness and accuracy of own work
• Coordinate design efforts with related disciplines
• Support team members and advance design automation skills
• Review models and documents for quality and compliance
• Lead small design teams: coordinate tasks, balance workloads, and monitor progress
• Take ownership of internal reviews and lead cross-discipline package reviews
• Attend meetings and help resolve concerns and problems
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent
• 5+ years of drafting/design experience in the structural field
• 3+ years of Revit experience
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Must reside within 50 miles of Phoenix, AZ
• Reliable home internet service to meet project performance expectations

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of drafting/design experience in the structural field
• 5+ years of Revit experience
• Experience with SmartPlant and Tekla
• Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam
• Experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures
• Experience with general industrial facilities, preferably semiconductor-related
