Structural Design Manager

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Structural Design Manager to work for a leading global e-commerce tech client. This role is remote. The person in this role will develop basis of design, define strategies, and work on client initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders and third-party engineering firms to ensure optimal structural design for the fulfillment network.

Pay: $71 - 81 per hour on W2

Duration: 8 months, with possible extensions

Schedule: M – F, regular business hours

Location: Remote (team based in WA, but location not required)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
• 5-10+ years of experience in building design and construction, with expertise in structural optimization and materials
• Proven track record in structural design optimization (embodied carbon reduction is a plus)
• Strong project and program management skills, with experience managing multiple complex projects
• Excellent communication skills, able to present engineering concepts to diverse audiences
• Deep knowledge of structural analysis, seismic, wind, and load calculations, and structural materials
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Proactive, research-driven, and innovative mindset
• Technical proficiency in structural analysis and digital tools
