Job summary

IMEG, an employee-owned firm, offers a 10-12 week summer internship in King of Prussia, PA for students pursuing Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering. You will assist with structural design tasks, research project information, and support client relations while learning IMEG standards.

This paid program includes a mentor, a cohort of fellow interns, and a clear path to full-time opportunities, with exposure to multiple disciplines and offices across our ESOP-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Skilled in AutoCAD and/or BIM software.
• Clear oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design tasks for discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Research project information and identify relevant resources.
• Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and document materials for permanent records.
• Coordinate design activities and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier partners.
• Document design decisions, meetings, client instructions, and project progress promptly.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check.
• Help prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement.
