Job summary

J&T in Los Angeles is seeking a licensed structural engineer to lead design projects across concrete, steel, wood and masonry. You will apply seismic design principles, read drawings accurately, and manage projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in structural engineering, 3+ years of relevant design experience, knowledge of CBC/AISC/ACI/NDS, and is actively pursuing a professional SE licensure.

Job description

• 3+ years of structural design experience;
• Master’s degree with specialization in structural engineering;
• Structural design experience in post-tensioned concrete, reinforced concrete, wood, masonry and steel;
• Strong technical understanding of seismic design principles and structural dynamics;
• A working knowledge of the California Building Code and relevant design standards (i.e. AISC, ACI, NDS);
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to manage projects and deadlines;
• P.E. license required, actively working towards S.E.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawing plans.
