Job summary

Techoundsllc is seeking a structural инженер with 2–5 years of experience to contribute to analysis and design for building projects. You will work under Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers, collaborating across disciplines to deliver safe, code-compliant structures.

The role emphasizes hands-on analysis, detailing, and coordination with authorities. Relocation or travel may be required depending on openings in California and neighboring states.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in structural analysis and design.
• Licensed PE preferred for the state of the applying office.
• Proficient in structural design under supervision of senior staff.
• Experience with small to mid-size buildings incl. seismic upgrades.
• Detailing with gravity and lateral framing.
• Proficient with ETABS, SAFE, RAM, and RISA.
• Knowledge of IBC, CBC, ASCE 7, ACI-318, AISC-341; ASCE-41 a plus.
• Knowledge of NDS; Mass Timber a plus.
• Grasshopper/Rhino knowledge a plus.
• DSA and/or OSHPD experience a plus (plan checks & construction).

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers on structural tasks.
• Perform analyses and contribute to design development for projects.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Assist in plan checks and coordination with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in structural analysis and design, working under the supervision of Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers. Candidates should possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. • Licensed PE, preferred for the state of office applying for.
• 2i-5 years of experience in structural analysis and design working under senior PE or SE.
• Demonstrate advanced level of proficiency (or at least 2+ years of experience) in structural engineering design, planning, and technical analysis working under guidance of senior engineer(s).
• Experience with small to mid-sized buildings including new construction, renovations, and seismic upgrades a plus.
• Detailing experience with various structural systems including gravity and lateral framing.
• Proficient with industry software such as ETABS, SAFE, RAM, and RISA. Others a plus.
• Proficient with IBC, CBC, ASCE 7, ACI-318, and AISC-341. Knowledge of ASCE-41 a plus.
• Knowledge of NDS. Mass Timber is a plus.
• General programing or knowledge in Grasshopper/Rhino is a plus.
• Special consideration given to those who have more than 2 years of experience with either DSA and/or OSHPD including proven experience handling plan check and construction phases.
