Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a self-motivated Structural Design Engineer Intern for a summer internship in Akron, OH (also in Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati). You will work with and be mentored by leading professionals on projects impacting infrastructure and mobility.

As part of the Design & Engineering teams, you’ll contribute to iconic structures and spaces that transform communities, while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to advanced software in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: Experience with CADD software (Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD).
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD and ODOT bridge design policies.

Responsibilities

• Must have experience and/or educational background in structural engineering
• Must possess the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to convey information to other disciplines
