Bennett & Pless in Loudoun is seeking a Structural Design Engineer with 5+ years of experience to contribute to load-bearing system design and project deliverables.

You will work with project managers and senior engineers to develop drawings and specs, perform analyses, and ensure code compliance for diverse projects. This growing firm emphasizes collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 5+ years structural engineering experience.
• PE license or on track to licensure soon.
• Experience with masonry, wind, wood design or other systems.
• Proficiency with standard software (Revit, RAM, EnerCalc).

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for diverse project types.
• Analyze structures using modeling software and codes.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, reports and QA/QC docs.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, architects, contractors and clients.
• Support site visits, structural surveys and field reports.
• Assist with shop drawing reviews and RFIs.
